A seasonal concept scent that represents my own family’s tradition.

Made with spices, grand fir, oakmoss, amber, and incense, Winter Amber evokes memories of the house I grew up in right around the winter holidays: a decorated tree, freshly split firewood, sacred incense, something ethnic and spicy coming from the kitchen, and the cozy warmth of colorful twinkling lights.

In the winter months when I was little, my dad would put a sprig of freshly picked fir needles and a small amount of water into the black cast iron kettle that sat on top of the wood stove. Into the kettle he would also put Frankincense and Myrrh tears that he purchased as a teen in Istanbul. The heat from the fire warmed the kettle and filled our house with the vapor of evergreens which, combined with the powdery-sweet incense, produced a beautiful and transcendental fragrance. As an adult, it takes me back to memories of sitting next to our humble little tannenbaum watching the animated Rudolph movie.

This scent is quietly festive, both inviting and subdued. I spray it into a bulky knit scarf so that I can snuggle into it later as I walk headlong into the cold and drizzly weather of Oregon's winter months.
